Time Box

Time box on our wedding day.

Where our Time box lived most days
-------------------------

Not many know we had a time box ceremony on our wedding day, this is where E and I both decided to open this box on our 5th wedding anniversary.

Today is that day! We waited so long and really mostly forgot about it until a few day ago. Knowing we are now finally opening it , its hard to not peep!

When the time came E and I both pulled the ribbon and open the top to be surprised with goodies and kind words all together. We were surprised with my wedding shoes, a napkin chicken, our jars we used at the wedding, some bubbles (that still blowed) and tea lights! Then we both took a turns opening a letter our guests, family and friends wrote!

Maybe wished us well and gave us advised, while others showered us with some facts from our wedding year, while others predicted we would have kids by now, but mostly we were touched with kind words of love and wishing us all the happiness we have and more!

I am so glad E and I decided to have a time box, not only if is fun to open but it made year 5 exiting and special!

Here is to the next 5 years my Hassie!!

Railway Reserve Heritage Trail Walk

Not far from our Tiny house is the Railway walk. The Eastern Railway was made to access the forest areas and created employment, townships and transport for the locals who lived in land. It was most active between 1880 and 1930 and later on replaced the York Road as the towns principal lifeline. The railway closed in 1966 and then later turned into a local attraction for everyone to enjoy.

We only walked 2km then returned to the town Darlington, we passed so many dogs and their owners everyone happy to return a smile and say hi.

We got to enjoy some beautiful wild flowers and some greenery before the harsh summer returns before Christmas.

Darlington you are beautiful.

Darlington

A small town located about 30km away from Perth CBD, situated in the Perth Hills surrounded by bush land, national parks and reserves. Rich in history going back to 1827 when Captain James Stirling were looking for agricultural land. Fraser named it Darling Rages after Governor Darling. Then in 1840 timber cutter constructed a track to commute across the Darling Ranges to York.

After about 40 years in 1883 Dr Alfred Waylen purchases some of the land and named his property 'Darlington' and started a vineyard (still here). After some years train lines and more people moved into the town by 1930 there was a need for a general store, tea room, post office, butcher shop and several churches.

As you can see while we stayed in the tiny house E and I read up on the town and fell in love with all its history.

If you are ever in the Perth Hills i recommend a stop and a small walk around (Read More Here).

Morning of 11/11/16

Sitting in this bed with after you brought me breakfast up, I try and rap my heard around how lucky I am to have you in my life.

What good did I do in my previous life to deserve you. We just work, your my happy and everything in between. This weekend away was perfect in many ways. It not only was relaxing but reassured me how ‘tight’ we are as a couple.

My Hassie, my forage and happy here is to many more breakfasts in bed, quite days and hearts filled with love. x

Tiny House

E and I wanted to make our 5th Wedding Anniversary special by going away and spending the weekend isolated and enjoying some Hassie time. After some discussing we came across this Tiny House on Airbnb

Not only were we  spoilt by the amazing host we so easily felt at home. The host left us some breakfast amenities that was above what we were expecting along with extensive information about the area and history on Darlington. Our Photo's CAN NOT describe how beautiful the views really are.

Set in the tranquil Perth hills, it was a beautiful way for us to unwind amongst the gorgeous trees with the calming Australian birdsong all around us. Were were station perfectly for long bush walks and we got to explore the Darlington Area.

We will be recommending this spot for years to come and most certainly return for another great getaway.

Happy 5th Mr and Mrs

My hassie, this year has been amazing, with travel plans, new friends and exiting adventures , we have grown so much.

Every year I like to write about our past year, ups downs and everything in between so we can look back and see how far we have come. This year has been my favourite, I can't believe I have you around to make me happy! You have been there for me when I feel lost but felt secure in us. You have made me laugh when I needed it the most. You and I have grown as individual people and bloomed together.

I don't know how I got so luck to have you in my life, I must have done some good in my previous life to have you now!

I sit in bed in our tiny house for this weekend and I am speechless on how I got the Jackpot!

My hassie you are my life, my love, my forages!!

I love you more than you can ever imagine!
