10 days...

Well its been 10 days since I felt like writing something, I have been really unmotivated or lazy I don't know actually but thought I'd better write something before I forget.

Nothing really exiting has happened, which is probably why I haven't had the need to blog! Still working, still not seeing much of my hubby due to different hours... It gets harder and harder as the weeks go on - I think I mention this in each blog, but I really can't wait till we go traveling!! Falling asleep next to him the same time, having dinner together, no need to talk but his presents would be nice! At the moment it feels like we are to boats passing at sea (think that is a saying).  *sigh* a few more months - then I might be writing about how sick I am of him always being around.

Last sunday we went to the Art Gallery of Western Australia - to see the Picasso to Warhol expedition. How interesting - Saw real Picasso paintings and Any Warhol prints. Amazing to see how art changed over the years but yet stayed the same in some way. Very interesting I recommend you go! While you walk around and look at the paintings you can listen to a pod cast that tells you about the painters though process, whats it about etc.

While at the Gallery I realised that I have a husband that likes art and music and finds them just as interesting if not more than me - unlike my father, Gosh my poor mother is stuck with sports and crappy comedy movies.

Sundays seem to be the days my hubby and I catch up and 'normal' things'. We spend the day in the city last week and the week before that ended up in Fremantle with the winter festival - which wasn't much of a festival but more of a little get together. Little disappointing, but then again what do we expect its Perth.

I'm currently reading this amazing book called Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer. I haven't finished it about 1/3 through it and so far I cannot put it down, I can't wait to get home and read it.

As much as I find the book touching and interesting, I find its a hard book to read/follow. The story is told but a nine-year-old boy who has lost his father in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Now as some might understand a little boy's mind and world is so busy - and as Oskar Schell's states in his business cards. He is almost everything.

As you can tell its an interesting character to tell a story, always drifting off from what is actually going on. Reminds me so much of my husband. He would tell me a story and completely drift of from the story into something ells and expects me to keep up - After 5 years together I must say I am able to know head from toes.

With the book I have found some of the things Oskar say really makes you think/look at the world differently.
Thought I'd share some of his Quotes (thought).

“Just because you’re an atheist, that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t love for things to have reasons for why they are.” [13
“The meaning of my thoughts started to float away from me, like leaves that fall from a tree into a river,  I was the tree, the world was the river.” [16]
“We laughed and laughed, together and separately, out loud and silently, we were determined to ignore whatever needed to be ignored, to build a new world from nothing if nothing in our world could be salvaged, it was one of the best days of my life, a day during which I lived my life and didn’t think about my life at all.” [28]
“Our laughter kept the feathers in the air.   I thought about birds.    Could they fly if there wasn’t someone, somewhere, laughing?” [78]
“I have no need for the past, I thought, like a child.  I did not consider that the past might have a need for me.”  [78]
“I did not need to know if he could love me.  I needed to know if he could need me.” [84]
“I shook my tambourine the whole time, because it helped me remember that even though I was going through different neighborhoods, I was still me.” [88]
“Humans are the only animal that blushes, laughs, has religion, wages war, and kisses with lips.  So in
a way, the more you kiss with lips, the more human you are.” [99]

Think this more than enough to write about. Will bore you more next time.

Instagram

I don't know if anyone you know about Instagram it’s a fastbeautiful and fun way to share your photos with friends and family.Snap a picture, choose a filter to transform its look and feel, then post to Instagram. Oh yeah, did we mention it’s free? LOL I am starting to sound like a tele-marketer... I should make some money out of this add.
But anyway...
I am totally addicted to it... been using it for a year now - but recently its all over the news, Facebook etc. best you get it before people start nagging you to.
Here is some of my IG photos :)

  1. "Grumpy" - Photo taken at Moore & More Cafe in freo (I spilt sugar and started to make shapes and faces out of it)
  2. "Whale" - I spilt some grape juice and noticed it was shaped in a whale (IG photo time)
  3. "Ray of sunshine" - someone left a flower on a table in Hillary's Boat Harbour
  4. "Love can be blind" - Making myself a sandwich I noticed a multi grain shaped in a heart... Almost missed it
  5. "All I hear is Blah Blah Blah" - IG has competitions and this was my entry under 'words'
  6. "Childish ways" - On my 21St B-Day party decorating the place I was showing off my very interesting hat I made out of newspaper. Very impressed!
  7. "Kung Fu Panda Who" - My most impressive DrawSomething drawing that I'm most proud of.
  8. "Morning Busso" - My husbands camera early morning taking photos at the Jetty before too much people came along (we ended up driving to Busselton one day after my hubby finished work late 12pm - arriving there 3am and sleeping in the car ... most fun we had though - recommend)
Will do something similar again... I love sharing photo's and memories. If you have instagram follow me @chante_cm11 and tell me your from here it would be nice to see your photos.

Winter/Autumn

I love Autumn and Winter. Its my favourite season of them all. I just love it. This winter has been REALLY cold, or maybe I just forget how cold it can get when its super hot in the summer!!

This winter has been great, got to roll around in some autumn leaves (first time), pretending it was snow  but wasn't... just ended up with leaves in my hair and all over my jacket.

The great thing about winter, and I am sure most of you will agree, is that you get to cuddle! Cuddle with a teddy, a pillow a friend or in my case my hubby... and cuddle we do....  and anytime of the day!! Just HEAVAN

Most of all, I love the winter fashion... I enjoy the coats and stockings, scarfs and cardigans... I think we always look so glamours, classy Perfect. Not to much skin showing so your partner or crush can use some of his imagination.
I think might fly to opposite way the duck to for winter. I will follow winter anywhere, think about it in summer you can't make yourself cold! but in winter your able to make your self warm... so much easier.
So much sexier... hahaha

Just a sharing a love of mine... Aways Keep smiling. M
ake yourself warm this winter with a cuddle from someone special and a nice warm cuppa tea.

My 1950s Dinner Party

Oh its been a while since I have Blogged.

Well this weekend it was my 21st Birthday Party - themed 1950s Dinner party.
It was amazing, beautiful Perth Hills, nice clear skies, warm fire and FOOD.

I'm really grateful for all my family and friends for traveling so far for the party. We had amazing food that everyone helped to make and great company all around a wood fire. MY IDEA OF FUN!

Besides the beautiful view, I loved that everyone dressed up. I am forever making people dress up (almost each year) Common!!!? when are we ever really gonna great to wear a Charley Chapman Hat and a bow tie?

My Hubby and I go all out!

After everyone went home, hubby and I had a few quiet minuets with the fire, enjoying a glass of champs - Yum
Fire - crackling and crickets - cricking? while I fell more in love with my husband that I ever been. The fact that life is so good at the moment, besides that he works SH*T hours, I love our life.

I have decided that by or before I'm 30 we WILL live in the hills. Thats my goal I made for us. I think that the idea of me getting my own eggs from the chickens and milking the cows for breakfast, will be challenging but worth it. What a life - hard but Oh AMAZING.

My Gosh if you have never been to the Perth Hills or been in hills then, golly gosh its time for you go for a road trip. You see... I am a farm girl 'by trade' lol, I like the quiet, the time you get to spend with eachother. No distractions like Shopping center (that is why there is online shopping) and noisy cars honking their horns and crashing into fences. I love that you don't get to hear the neighbours fight, their kids cry or when they get kinky in the bedroom. I love that their is no reception - no constant need for you to check or update Facebook or instagram (although its me most of the time), these days life is so busy you need a moment to your self and family.

Oh I can go on and on about the Hills, but watch this space after our Hassie Adventure I will be planning how to get into the hills!

All in all a GREAT past 7 days.
