Thoughts on our Hassie Fiji Adventure

Well Its been a long time planning - Our Hassie Fiji Adventure is finally here. Its not like I have mentioned it much since we have been planning but we have been planning since July 2015, and its finally here. I'm sitting in our lounge room with half packed bags surrounding me, working about missing our connecting flight and not being able to communicate with people we are ok/safe.

This is a big adventure because it the first time E and Ihave actually left the country, separately we have got to the UK, Africa, Japan and singapore but now we are going together. I am worried.

My thought on our get away adventure - is a bit like Bi-Polar, I am all over the place. One minuet I am exited as hell the other I want to crawl away and hide. Its so outside my comfort zone I think I can explode.

Well we are going to do it!!

E and I made 5 Goals that we would like to achieve during our Fiji Adventure.

  • Come back alive
  • Get away from routine
  • Relax and enjoy ourselves
  • Experience the culture beyond tourist life
  • Let this be the start of something new

I am exited for the idea of this adventure but scared of the unknown. I wanted to say I'll miss everyone but honestly its kinda nice to getaway!!

Winston Marsalis' Swing Symphony

We got to enjoy some Jazz music while sitting in the choir stalls.
Personally I think they are the best seats to enjoy a show.
Its like you are apart of the symphony and can experience the show from their perspective.

Nelson & Christina Goodbyes

I can't believe we have know you guys for about 9 years. Who would have know moving to the city and walking around 'town' we would bump into each other and take off where we left off...

Its so funny thinking back to the time we walked passed and thought it was you guys but had to turn back and ask - if we never had the courage to turn back and ask who knows where we might have met again.

Its sad to say goodbye but wish you all the happiness and excitement in your trip ahead. At least your still in the same country even if its 5 hours flight away.

Until we bump into each other again.

A Hopeful Future

I just watched a ‘’vlog’ and was inspired to write about the future I imagined with E quite early in the beginning of Our time.

Thinking back to those days where love was drowning my brain in endorphins and just could not wait for a life with E.  I am not the kind to wish up a fairy tail of castles, diamonds and price charming, I just always wanted to be happy.

Saying that I realised quite early on in our relationship that he will be the one I marry, it really was like a ‘ahha’ moment where, (and I can still remember it like yesterday) I was sitting on my bed reading, when my thoughts literally made me stop. I just casually came to a thought about a husband and it had a face to the person and I remember being so happy that I knew who my person was and what life had in stall for me. I never told E that - he needed (and did) to have that moment to him self.

As a relationship builds you start talking of life, jobs, travels and family. I have always been around loud, noisy and at time annoying family and knew I wanted something similar, now that doesn’t mean a rugby team full of kids but a happy amount (that leaves me open to how many we ever please).

I did how ever imagine seeing the world with E and as much as I never thought It would actually happen, I am ever so happy that we are and I get to enjoy the ongoing future with my happy.

Kings Park Bush Walking

Its the new year and as usual your To Do list grow, while your pockets stays the same. E and I have been thinking about hiking, backpacking and not to sure about where, what and how. Saying that thought, we have to start by actually walking.

Now as many who know me knows I don't really like just walking, I like to know where I am going, and that needs to have a destination in mind. E and I started by going 'bush walking' in Kings Park while the weather decided to be in the high 40degrees. Murder I know.

After sweating and walking in circles all while feeling I can't breath. It actually wasn't that bad - I had a good day just wish the weather isn't to die for.

Next time its a proper walk and not in the dead of summer.

Mapping your Last Name

I have recently been interested in my family history and the origin of last name and where we came from. Seeing this will be my 5th Year as Mrs Campbell-Morrison, I thought it would be nice to see where E's family came from and his history seeing that it is just as much mine now.

Today I stumbled across a website which maps out your last name in the world. So naturally I typed in my last name and was so surprised at the facts. As you can see above there isn't many Campbell-Morrisons in the world and to think I am only 1 of 19 is crazy.

From what I know from E's side is that  Campbell may have been a middle name and somehow got connected to the last name prior to E's grandfather birth. I can't seem to really find proof of actually name change or what it officially happened but all up to E's grandfathers name its the personas first name then Campbell as a second then Morrison officially as the last name. After E's Grandfather the hyphen started to appear Gordon Campbell-Morrison and so did the history of this new Last name start (I think).

After seeing my current last names map I wanted to see my maiden names mapping, and well not as easy - and mostly likely explains why I have so much difficulty finding information on my families history. There is just too many people with that last name and were all over the world.

I found this so interesting that I want to continue looking at our history. Its so crazy to try and comprehend how much history has already been documented and here we are doing even more.
